What a painting job includes

Interior, cabinets, and exterior are scoped separately so you are not buying a whole-house paint job to fix one room.

  • Interior. Walls, ceilings, and trim in occupied rooms.
  • Cabinets. Doors, boxes, and drawers, sprayed for a level finish.
  • Exterior. Siding, trim, and the prep Illinois weather requires.
  • Prep. Patching, sanding, caulk, and primer before color.
  • Protection. Floors, furniture, and landscaping covered.
  • Commercial. Offices and retail when the building needs a crew, not a room.

Why the prep is on the quote

A cheap paint job fails at the edges, the primer, and the cabinets that were brushed instead of sprayed.

Interiors that stay occupied

We work room by room, protect the floors, and leave the house usable at the end of the day.

Cabinets, not a brush job

Oil-based primer, then self-leveling topcoats. The same approach we use when a kitchen is being refinished instead of replaced.

Exteriors for this climate

Prep and coatings chosen for freeze, thaw, and humid summers, not a single coat of color.

A number before the walkthrough

Use the calculators for a starting range. The written price comes after we see the surfaces.

How a painting project runs

We look at the surfaces, then the quote names the prep, the primer, and the number of coats.

Three ways to scope the paint

Most houses need one of these. Some need two. We say which after the walkthrough.

Interior

Walls, ceilings, and trim.

  • Patch, sand, and caulk
  • Primer where the surface needs it
  • Finish coats on walls and trim
  • Rooms stay livable

Exterior

The outside of the house.

  • Scrape, caulk, and prime
  • Coatings for Illinois weather
  • Siding, trim, and doors
  • Scheduled around the weather

Questions we answer on the walkthrough

Do you paint interiors, cabinets, and exteriors?

Yes. Interiors cover walls, ceilings, and trim. Cabinet painting is a separate scope with primer and sprayed topcoats. Exterior work is prepped for Illinois weather.

How are cabinets finished?

We clean and sand, prime with an oil-based primer so the paint bonds, then apply self-leveling topcoats. A kitchen cabinet refinish is often done in 1–2 weeks.

Can we stay in the house?

Yes for interior painting. We work room by room and cover floors and furniture. Cabinet spraying needs the kitchen clear of food and small items.

Do you paint commercial spaces?

Yes. Offices and retail are scoped as their own job, with a schedule that fits the building.

Is prep included?

Yes. Patching, sanding, caulk, and primer are part of the written scope. Color is the last step.

How do I get a price?

The painting and cabinet calculators give a starting range. The price we stand behind comes from a walkthrough.
